Hello! I'm Jim Gaskin and I've worked at WDFB since 1985. I'm married to Rubyann Cooper Gaskin and we reside at 429 Maple Avenue, Danville, Kentucky.

Radio has been in my life since I was a "kid". I am a graduate of Russell County High School, Russell Springs, Kentucky. I received a full music scholarship to Lindsey Wilson College and graduated with an AA Degree in Music. After this, I received training from the Cleveland Institude of Radio/Electronics and Professional Academy of Broadcasting. Received a First Class FCC License and also a Honorary Doctorate (Music) St. Andrew's - London, England.

In Grade School, I first began "Quartet Singing" .....I've sung bass in many different quartets over the years and currently sing bass with the Homefolks Quartet at Renfro Valley. Besides working at WDFB, I work at Renfro Valley as an Emcee, Musician, Singer and Writer/Narrator of the Nationally Syndicated Renfro Valley Gatherin'.

I was saved at 12 years of age; active in Church singing within a 300 mile radius. Whatever talent I have, God gave it to me and I am grateful. I've been able to make a living doing what I love to do. I give all the Praise and Glory to the Lord!
